    From Hotel Rural Las Dehesas de Costana, guests are invited to start one of the countless hiking routes that run through Sierra de la Demanda, a natural paradise where visitor will be able to find Neila glacier lagoons or the Cañón del Río Lobos Natural Park, as well as its beech, pine and oaks forests


    Do not hesitate either to enter into any of the many routes that run through the region of Arlanza and go through places of great beauty between valleys and gorges, such as the Yecla, taking visitors into monumental villas of huge history and heritage, as Covarrubias, Lerma or the monastery of San Pedro de Arlanza

  • Salas de los Infantes Dinosaurs Museum

    Entering Salas de los Infantes Dinosaurs Museum is to go back in the history of this region of Burgos, from the remote period of the Mesozoic to the Middle Ages, going through prehistory or the Roman era


    Its collection turns out to be one of the most complete in Spain, in which numerous models, illustrations, reconstructions and archaeological and paleontological pieces, provide visitors a tour of great didactic value suitable for all types of ages

  • The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

    In summer of 1966 Sergio Leone moved to these lands of Burgos to shoot The Good, the Bad and the Ugly


    It is therefore mandatory to visit main scenarios that were chosen for this film, specially the cemetery of Sad Hill located in a natural place of singular beauty 

  • The Romanesque in the Sierra de la Demanda and the Lands of Lara

    Sierra de la Demanda and the neighboring Tierra de Lara preserve the largest concentration of pre-Romanesque monuments in Spain, with the exception of some Asturian regions


    Special places of interest not to miss are the Hermitage Visigoth of Quintanilla de las Viñas, the Romanesque churches of Pineda de la Sierra, Jaramillo de la Fuente or Vizcaínos, ...

    Back in the 11th century Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, better known as El Cid Campeador, left with his daughters to exile ordered by Alfonso VI


    The tour carried out by the hero from Burgos, allows visitors to travel, like hero did, through the beautiful lands of Burgos with their valleys populated with juniper and oak trees, their rivers of fresh riverbanks and their small villages crowned in many cases, by unequaled Romanesque churches which were almost certainly visited by the Cid on his way to Valencia
